Novex TIMBERSTYLE Deck & Timber Paint  is a tough, premium water-based acrylic paint made for New Zealand’s weather conditions. With a low sheen finish, exceptional UV resistance, and high durability, it's perfect for giving your timber and exterior surfaces a long-lasting, uniform look.

No primer needed in most cases – just prep, paint, and protect.

Suitable for: Timber decks, weatherboards, fences, trelliswork, fibre-cement surfaces, concrete blocks, and unglazed bricks.

Application Advice:


Preparation:
Clean surfaces thoroughly – remove flaking paint, mould, moss, and dirt.

Treat surfaces with NOVEX TREAT–IT Fungicidal Treatment & Cleaner if mould or lichen is present.

Use NOVEX TIMBER CLEAN & PREP on all decks before painting to open the timber fibres for better paint adhesion.

 

Allow new pine decks to weather for 8 weeks and hardwood decks for 12 weeks.

 

Painting:

  • Stir well before use.

  • Apply with a quality brush, roller, or airless spray.

  • Use two full coats for best durability

  • For porous or weathered surfaces, apply a primer coat thinned 10% with water first.

  • Avoid painting if rain or dew is expected within 4 hours.

Coverage & Dry Time:

  • Coverage: 8–16 m² per litre per coat (depending on surface texture).

  • Touch dry: 30 minutes

  • Recoat: After 2 hours

  • Walkable: Leave overnight

​

Maintenance Tip:
Wash every 12 months using NOVEX TREAT–IT to remove dirt and organic build-up, especially after winter. This helps extend the life and look of your paint finish.

Prepare your timber surfaces effectively for staining with Novex Timber Clean. Before applying Novex Super Deck, follow these steps to make the most of Novex Timber Clean.

  1. Begin by cleaning and treating all types of timber surfaces, including outdoor furniture, pergolas, and fences, using Novex Timber Clean. This product is specially formulated to remove dirt, mold, mildew, grease, oil, and other contaminants from the wood.

  2. Novex Timber Clean also serves an essential role in preparing the timber surface. It helps by opening the wood's fibers, making it more receptive to the subsequent coating with Novex Super Deck.

  3. Once the surface is properly cleaned and prepped with Novex Timber Clean, you are ready to apply Novex Super Deck for a beautiful and long-lasting finish on your timber.
