MULTIVERSAL

If you want one paint that works on timber, concrete, galvanised steel, Zincalume®, and more — and acts as a primer, undercoat, and topcoat all in one — then MULTIVERSAL Multi-Purpose Paint is your go-to.

The secret that makes it special? Linseed oil.

Why is Linseed Oil in MULTIVERSAL?

Linseed oil has been used in paints for hundreds of years. While most standard acrylic paints just sit on the surface, linseed oil has a natural “wicking” ability — it soaks in and bonds to the material. This means it grips onto rough, aged, or imperfect surfaces far better than a regular acrylic can.

Here’s why that matters:

Better Grip on Tricky Surfaces Perfect for weathered timber, rough concrete, or aged metal.

Improved Water Resistance Helps protect against moisture damage — great for outdoor jobs.

Built to Last Soft at first but hardening over time as the linseed oil cures, giving a strong, protective finish.

Extra UV Protection Helps slow down fading and surface wear in the sun.

Where Can You Use MULTIVERSAL?

Because it acts as a primer, undercoat, and topcoat all in one, you can use it on:

  • Homes & Garages – Weatherboards, fascias, gables, doors, and windowsills.

  • Outdoor Structures – Fences, sheds, farm buildings, gates, and posts.

  • Industrial Surfaces – Roofs, spouting, warehouses, and galvanised steel.

It’s a true “do-it-all” paint made here in New Zealand for our conditions.

How to Use MULTIVERSAL

1. Prep the Surface

  • Wash away dirt, moss, and mould with a suitable cleaner.

  • Scrape off any loose or flaking paint.

  • For porous surfaces (like bare concrete or terracotta), apply a seal coat first.

  • For smooth, baked surfaces (like Colorsteel®), start with NOVEX COVERWELL Acrylic Galvanised Iron Primer.

2. Apply the Paint

  • Stir thoroughly before starting.

  • Apply with a brush, roller, or airless spray.

  • Use two topcoats for the best finish.

  • Avoid painting if rain is likely in the next 24 hours.

3. Drying & Curing

  • Touch dry: Around 30 minutes

  • Recoat: After 2 hours

  • Fully hardened: Several days as the linseed oil cures.

Colours & Sizes

Bottom line: If you want a tough, reliable, all-surface paint that’s easy to work with,

In short: MULTIVERSAL Multi-Purpose Paint saves you time and effort by being your primer, undercoat, and topcoat in one — plus, thanks to linseed oil, it offers exceptional adhesion, water resistance, and durability.
