We thought we’d share some fantastic news that came through last week — our NOVEX Multiversal Linseed Oil Paint was used on a project that just won an NZIA

Heritage Award!

Since late last year, we’ve been working alongside an architecture firm in Auckland on the careful restoration of St Mary’s Old Convent Chapel. This beautiful Gothic Revival-style building needed the right kind of exterior paint — something that suited its heritage character and could provide lasting protection. Our Multiversal linseed oil-based paint was the perfect fit.

We helped colour-match the original creamy tones of the chapel and provided technical specs and support for the job. Most of the exterior was painted using NOVEX Multiversal, with our Prano Paint used on the stairs and other concrete areas.

Last week, the chapel won the NZIA Auckland Heritage Award and even picked up a Resene Colour Award — despite not being officially entered for the latter! It seems the judges were particularly impressed with the use of linseed oil paint and how well it suited the building’s original look.

The best part? The architects were so happy with the result that they’ve already specified NOVEX Multiversal for another restoration project in the works. We’re proud to be part of projects like these, helping preserve New Zealand’s history with products that are built to last.
